Biography of Indian Freedom Fighter Bhagat Singh:
Bhagat Singh was born on 27th September 1907. Bhagat Singh father’s name was Kishan Singh and his mother’s name was Vidyavati. Singh was a Sandhu Jat from Sikh family. Bhagat Singh was born in Banga village in the Lyallpur district of the Punjab Province, Pakistan. Bhagat Singh was a student of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic High School. He also got admission in National College in Lahore in 1923 where he won an essay competition organised by the Punjab Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. Bhagat Singh wrote on the topic “Problems in the Punjab“.
Association of Bhagat Singh with several Organisations:
He established youth organisation Naujawan Bharat Sabha in March 1926. He also became the member of Hindustan Republican Association. Chandrashekhar Azad, Ram Prasad Bismil and Shahid Ashfaq Ullah Khan was also the member of Hindustan Republican Association. He also used to write for the Kirti Kisan Party.

Indian Revolutionary activities Bhagat Singh:
Simon Commission, a group of seven British Members of Parliament under the chairmanship of Sir John Allsebrook Simon was formed in 1928 by the British government to report on the political situation in India. Indian political parties were against this commission because no member of this commission were Indians. There were protests across the country. Lajpat Rai also led a march against this commission. James A. Scott ordered the lathi charge on the protest march which was led by Lala Lajpat Rai. Lajpat Rai got injured in this Lathi charge. Rai died two weeks after the injury.
Avenge of Lala Lajpat Rai death:
To take avenge of Lala Lajpat Rai death Hindustan Socialist Republican Association planned to kill Scott. Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar mistakenly killed John P. Saunders, an Assistant Superintendent of Police. Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were sentenced to death and were hanged on 23 March 1931 in Lahore Jail.
Achievements of Bhagat Singh:
- Bhagat Singh was an Indian revolutionary and martyr. He was born in Banga village of Pakistan.
- Bhagat Singh is considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian Nationalist Movement. Bhagat Singh became famous by when he and his associate Rajguru shot a British Police officer in Lahore.
- He was associated with many numerous revolutionary organisations and played an important role in the Indian National Movement.
